who is who in YUSTAT

Various YUSTAT’s projects assemble a large number of experts from various fields, many theatre professionals of all profiles, but also architects, urban planners, engineers, culturologists, sociologists, psychologists, communicologists, art historians etc. YUSTAT Centre pays special attention to project-based work and engagement of young professionals and students.

The highest body of YUSTAT Centre non-profit organization is its Assembly, made up of the founding members.

ASSEMBLY / THE FOUNDERS OF YUSTAT

MILOSAV MARINOVIC, YUSTAT Centre’s Executive Director
Dramatist, writer for the theatre and the screen; formerly dramaturge for the Atelje 212 theatre and art director of the Theatre on the Terazije Square (Pozoriste na Terazijama); creative director of the Quartet Advertising agency; Deputy Minister of Culture and Public Information of the Republic of Serbia, 2002-2004; expert consultant on several international projects; co-founder and activist of several non-government organizations in Serbia.

RADIVOJE DINULOVIC, President of the Assembly
Architect; Docent at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and at the Architecture Department of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad. Coordinator of the Department of Stage Design, Interdisciplinary M.A. Studies at the University of Arts in Belgrade.

MILENA DRAGICEVIC-SESIC
Professor of cultural management and media theory at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade; Head of the UNESCO MA Course in Cultural Policy and Management at the University of Arts in Belgrade and lecturer at postgraduate courses in Moscow, Dijon, Bucharest, Budapest, Brussels etc. Vice-president of the European League of Institutes of Art (ELIA) and Rector of the University of Arts in Belgrade, 2001-2004.

ZORAN ERIC
Composer, professor at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade and author of music for many theatre performances and other art projects.

DRASKO JOVANOVIC
Economist; owner and director of the Quartet Advertising agency, launched in 1994.

MIOMIR MIJIC
Acoustics engineer; holds Ph.D. in Technical Sciences. Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. One of the founders of the Department of Stage Design, Interdisciplinary M.A. Studies at the University of Arts in Belgrade.

VIDA OGNJENOVIC
Writer, theatre director, professor; author of numerous novels and three collections of plays. Winner of major literary (Andric Award, Laza Kostic Award, Stefan Mitrov Ljubisa Award) and theatre awards for her works as a playwright and director (4 Sterija Awards, October Award of the City of Belgrade, Golden Wreath for Directing at the Festival MES in Sarajevo, Joakim Vujic Drama Award). She spent fifteen years with the National Theatre in Belgrade, four terms in office as its head of drama, and subsequently its resident director and manager. Assistant professor at the Department of Theatre Directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, professor of directing at the UCLA (U.S.) and of acting at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. Ambassador of Serbia and Montenegro in Norway.

BRANKO PAVIC
Visual artist; Professor at the Faculty of Architecture and lecturer at the Department of Stage Design, Interdisciplinary M.A. Studies at the University of Arts in Belgrade. Formerly taught at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade.

ZORICA SAVICIC
Architect; visiting professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade and at the Architecture Department of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad. Winner of a number of awards at architectural and urban planning competitions. Senior architect and author of numerous realized projects for the Energoprojekt company and associate of the design team of YUSTAT PRO.

IRINA SUBOTIC
Art historian; initially curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art, subsequently curator of the National Museum in Belgrade. Professor at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and at the University of Arts in Belgrade.

DRAGAN ZIVKOVIC
Architect; from 1984 to 2002 curator of the Department for Architecture of the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade. Promoter of architecture in many multimedia programs in the country and abroad, in official institutions, professional organizations, selection and editorial boards. Lecturer on Contemporary Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade.

LJUBOMIR DRASKIC (1937 - 2004)
Theatre director; longtime manager of the Atelje 212 Theatre in Belgrade and professor of theatre directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.

RANKO RADOVIC (1935 - 2005)
Architect and urban planner; formerly professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade. Founder and head of the Architecture Department at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.
